Farley is not Phil Frank, although he resembles him. Farley is a commitment-shy San Francisco bachelor whose closest friend is a bird. Frank, a married man with two grown children, has lived in Sausalito for the last 25 years.
He says he is a small-town person who needs to escape to Bolinas each weekend with his wife, Susan, to keep his perspective.
"Sue and I really enjoy being involved in local affairs (in Sausalito)," he says. Frank has been involved with the Sausalito Historical Society for 20 years where he's been director, writing and doing visuals. He also acts in plays with the Sausalito Players.
