- Edinburgh-Eastern Scottish city, pronounced "Edin-burrah," not "Edin-berg," or "Edin-borrow"
- Fanny-vagina
- Fitba'-Football (soccer)
- Glasgow-Western Scottish city, pronounced "Glaz-go," not "Glass-gow"
- Ken-To know
- Ya' ken?-"Do you know?"
- Lee Marvin-starvin' (rhyming slang)
- Patter Merchant-A good talker, a schmoozer
- Punter-A regular guy/gal
- Ride-A potential liason, as in "Aye, she's a wee ride!"

- Train Spotting-A really wierd hobby, where people go out to railroads and write down the ID numbers of passing trains
- Wanker-Jerk-off, or one who does so
