Lolly Lee

by Nikki Vo

Unlike many other girls who constantly complain about going to an all girls school, Lolly Lee sees this as an advantage. "I think this is a good experience because I can concentrate 100 percent on my studies and not have to worry about my looks," said the 17-year-old from Mercy High School.

Coming from a Chinese and Salvadorian background, Lolly is often mistaken for being purely Asian. She faces many Asian stereotypes, but continues to keep a strong focus on her main goal -- a career in journalism.

"I've never done journalism before," said Lee. "BAMMA is a great opportunity for me to explore the field."
