Jason Y. Gatchalian, a 15-year-old Filipino teen, was born on Sept. 17, 1980. He will be a junior at Scared Heart High School in San Francisco. Along with his ambition to become a doctor and a lawyer, he would also like to pursue journalism. He believes his experience at BAMMA will give him the tools needed to be a journalist.
Although he believes he is a hard worker, grades and friendship are equally important to him. "You need to learn how to balance things in life," said Gatchalian as he positioned his hands horizontal to each other. "I find happiness through getting good grades," he said smiling proudly. "Though doing schoolwork is a bore, I work my way to happiness."
