"It's better to have a few good friends than being popular and having lots of aquaintances," said Pola Gabriel Benedicto. The senior at Wallenberg High School, enjoys writing poetry and spending time with her close friends. Someday she would like her poetry published.
A 16-year-old political liberal, she is interested in journalism because she wants to inform and educate people. One day she would like to have her own editorial column. Benedicto said, "Being a columnist allows someone to be liberal and freely state their opinions." Writing gives her the confidence that talking does not provide. Through writing she can easily get her point across.
