The Golden Gater Jr. is a laboratory newspaper published twice a year during the summer by high school students attending workshops hosted by SF State's Center for Integration and Improvement of Journalism. Summer high school workshops in the journalism department are sponsored by the Bay Area Muticultural Media Acadamy (BAMMA) -- funded through gifts and grants from Bay Area businesses; and by The Rainbow Institute -- funded by the Freedom Forum.
