"Ding dong the witch is dead!"
Well, Kenyan McCarthy, the ball is now in your court.
After fighting tooth-and-nail to win your elected-given right to be AS president, the San Francisco Superior Court Monday issued a preliminary injunction against AS that now allows you and other Student Struggle members to take office.
It's now up to you and your officers to prove to the student body that it made the right choice in electing Struggle.
The students decided they wanted change and voted for you.
Don't get too comfortable. They expect something different. They are expecting fair representation.
Don't disappoint them.
Pass legislation that will benefit the student body and not the student government.
Make yourself available to the public.
None of this, "if you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours" bullshit past AS goverments have perfected to an art form.
And don't waste our money. We don't want to pay for go-nowhere projects like Discourse, the monthly magazine that has been published six times in the last four years, yet costs AS $22,000 a year.
We are watching you Kenyan McCarthy and Struggle.
Don't turn your backs on the students who voted for you by abusing the very power they afforded you.
If you do, then we are all right back where we started.
