Baseball

The SF State baseball team secured its place on top of the Northern California Athletic Conference, going 2-for-3 against UC Davis last week.

The Gators began their bout against the Aggies on Friday, defeating them, 8-1.

The Gators won a tough game Sunday morning 2-1 in 12 innings before being shutout in the nightcap, 11-0.

SF State is currently in first place by four games in its division with eight games remaining.

Gators right fielder Ivory Jones won NCAC Player of the Week last week after boasting an impressive performance at the plate.

Last week, Jones went 9-for-18 with two triples, two home runs, five RBI and five runs scored.

SF State hosts CSU Hayward on Friday at 2 p.m. before traveling to CSU Hayward on Saturday. Saturday's doubleheader begins at noon.

Softball

SF State's softball team went 0-6 last week, losing doubleheaders to CSU Hayward, Sonoma State and Chico State.

The Gators host Sonoma State for their last home game on Friday at 2 p.m.

Track and Field

The SF State men's and women's track and field athlete Noue Mulitalo won the NCAC Co-Athlete of the Week last week. The award was Mulitalo's second straight honor, having been named NCAC Athlete of the Week on April 17.

For the season, Mulitalo is the NCAC top-ranked athlete in both the hammer and discus.

The Gators travel to the Chico State Invite on Saturday. The meet begins at 10 a.m.
