Guidelines to determine if you should be tested for HIV

The Student Health Services recommends the following guidelines to determine whether or not you should be tested for HIV:
- 1. If you have engaged in vaginal, anal or oral sex with a person whose sexual or medical history is unknown to you.
- 2. If you have engaged in unprotected sex.
- 3. If you have shared needles.
- 4. If you have had sex with a person who has HIV or is at risk for HIV.
- 5. If you, or your partner, is/are a man having sex with other men.
- 6. If you have been diagnosed with a sexually transmitted disease.
- 7. If you are a women considering pregnancy.
