4:30 p.m. Elliott called the University Police Department and spoke with Lt. Stephen McLain. She said she was concerned about a student's behavior and asked for advice. She identified the student as Jason Archie. They agreed to have an officer contact her the morning before her next class with Archie.
5:00 p.m. McLain forwarded this information to Sgt. Kirk Gaston with instructions to assign an investigator for follow-up on Tuesday, Feb. 21.
7:30 a.m. Gaston and Lam informed McLain of Archie's parole status and said that parole agent contact was required.
7:35 a.m. Lam met with Elliott in her office. He explained that disrupting a classroom is a violation of law, his report said. According to Elliott, he suggested she file an informational statement. She agreed.
9:15 a.m. Elliott and Archie spoke in the hall after class while Lam stood out-of-sight in a nearby room. "The conversation was conducted in normal tones," Lam said in his report. After talking with Archie, Elliott told Lam she was satisfied with the outcome and wanted no further action from the police.
Later Lam advised Quen over the phone of the situation. Quen said he would come by the station to read Elliott's statement.
4:30 p.m. Quen arrived at the University Police Department to discuss the case.
5:00 p.m. McLain called Elliott at home and informed her that Archie had been on parole and asked if Archie's removal from campus was OK with her, Elliott said. She said it was not her decision.
5:20 p.m. Quen, with the assistance of three UPD officers, arrested Archie outside of Humanities Building room 302.
