Dear Editor:
As a student at SF State I am devastated to hear the news of the "murder" of the football program. These men didn't come to SF State for scholarships, they came to play here for the love of the game and now that has been ripped away.
I know of a few players that are motivated for college because of football. What will happen to them now that their "drive" has been pulled out from under them? My hope is that they will continue with their education, if not here, elsewhere.
Unfortunately, this news couldn't have happened at a worse time. It is too late for some players to transfer in time to play at other schools.
Not only will I miss several players that have befriended me, but I will also miss the one I have fallen in love with. That one will now have to leave to continue with his first love: football. Administration didn't just hurt 65 players and coaches, but all those close to them and all football lovers everywhere.
