The SF State men's basketball team has reached the latter stages of the 1994-95 season. With a 119-96 victory against Pacific Christian and a loss to conference rival Sonoma State, the Gators fell to 3-4 in the Northern California Athletic Conference and 8-11 in the overall standings. Although their latest loss put the Gators in a fourth place tie with Humboldt State, they still find themselves in contention for a playoff spot. Chico State and UC Davis remain atop the conference at 6-1, while Sonoma State hovers in 3rd place with a 4-3 record.
Center Lawrence Williams leads the conference with 20.5 points per game, 9.7 rebounds per game and 3.2 blocks per game. Williams currently has 1,931 points in his college career and needs only 69 more to reach the 2000 mark.
Forward Dwight Crocker, the team's second leading scorer, also ranks among the conference leaders in points, rebounds, blocks, steals and field goal percentage.
Ending their four-game homestand this weekend, the Gators will play Chico State on Friday at 8:15 p.m. and Humboldt State on Saturday at 8:15 p.m.
