Senior first baseman Phil Kernan smacked his 180th career hit for the Gators and became SF State's all-time hit leader last Wednesday.
Kernan broke the Gators' Illidio Freitas' record of 179 career hits with a single to right field in the bottom of the fifth inning in SF State's 10-5 win over Menlo College.
He led the Gators in their victory going 2 for 3 with one run. Kernan also stole a base in the bottom of the first inning.
For the season, Kernan is hitting .388 with nine doubles, a triple and two home runs. He has nine stolen bases.
The Gators play at Chico State on Friday at 2 p.m. and on Saturday at 11 a.m.
