The Associated Students' Performing Arts Center is hosting a screening of the critically acclaimed film, Hoop Dreams, today at 2 p.m. in McKenna Theatre. The screening will be followed by a question and answer period with the director of the film, Steve James. The cost is $2 for students and $4 general admission.
Associated Students Inc. presents Mililani Trask, Hawaiian Sovereignty Leader, in Conference Rooms A-E of the Cesar Chavez Student Center today at 12p.m. Trask will speak on Hawaiian Sovereignty and minority and human rights. The event is free.
The Master of Fine Arts Exhibition for 1995 is currently being shown Monday through Friday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Art Department Gallery in SF State's Arts and Industry Building. The exhibit includes mixed works by seven artists and is free to the public.
SF State's Music Department presents the SF State Symphonic Band, conducted by L. LeRoy Roach, on May 2 at 8 p.m. in McKenna Theatre.
The program will feature traditional Japanese dances, a Wagner march and a tribute to fallen Vietnam soldiers entitled "Heroes Lost and Fallen." Tickets are $3.50 for students and $5 general admission.
