Letters to the Editor

Editor:

Hey! Where'd everybody go? In October 28th's issue, of the 11 stories only four were written by Golden Gater staff. The other seven are from seven different publications, from seven different schools including, but not limited to, Yale and Dartmouth. These are fine places of learning, but the paper is called "The San Francisco State University Golden Gater."

In our school, with over 30,000 students, with a faculty, which includes some pretty newsworthy members, and with exciting events taking place on campus every day, why must we mine other institutions' papers for NEWS?

As I asked before, "Hey, where'd everybody go?"

All the best,
Linda Stevens

Editor:

I was greatly offended by Justin Grams' column in today's paper. Mr. Grams needs to realize that romance is not #1 on everybody's list at SFSU. In the five years I was here, I took a full load of courses in two majors, worked two or three jobs and spent time doing programming in the residence community.

Other students are in similar situations, and many of them are raising families. College is not designed to cater to carry-over adolescents like Mr. Grams.

If he is concerned about his love life, the Weekly and Guardian have an extensive collection of personal ads. I wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.
