The SF State men's soccer team began its season at the Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunner Classic over the weekend where they suffered two losses.
The first game on Saturday resulted in a 2-0 loss to Cal State Bakersfield -- a team ranked third in Division II soccer last year. The Gators were outshot 16 to 6.
On Sunday, Matt Wilson scored the team's first goal of the season with an assist from Lasse Lonnebotn to tie the game after the first half against Cal State Los Angeles. But CSLA scored three in the final 10 minutes of the game to win 4-1.
Although the team begins the season with a 0-2 record, Lonnebotn and Matt Bolton were named to the all-tournament team.
