Dear Editor,

So let me get this straight. For the past five years, Oakland campaigns like crazy to get the Raiders back to their home, saying their heritage had been stripped away from them and that they were betrayed by Al Davis. Overwhelming support floods Oakland's City Council and even its mayor jumps on the train to get their beloved team back. So now the Raiders should be exiled because they are an eyesore to Chris Freud?

Once the Bay Area gets what it wants, it doesn't want it anymore? Freud's Sept. 26 column implies that because the Raiders aren't competitive, they should leave. In that case, the Warriors and Giants should have been out of here a while ago.
