SF State's Brent Butler finished 10th in the men's 8- kilometer run at the Triton Cross Country Invitational in San Diego. Among a field of 120 runners, Bulter got a time of 25:48, 1:11 behind the winner Abdi Abdi of Pima.
Chuck Wyckoff finished 49th with a time of 27:23.
In a close race, Gator Jodi Dailey finished 39th out of 143 in the women's 5-kilometer run. That was 1:45 behind Grazyna Pono of University of Southern California who finished in first place.
Gators Ragga Thordarson and Yolanda Montalvo finished in 50th and 54th place.
The men's team finished 8th and the women's 9th overall in the tournament.
