Rabin was a terrorist who wanted control, not peace

I cannot believe the whole world is in an uproar over the assassination of Yitzhak Rabin. Has the whole world missed the point that Rabin was a terrorist and responsible for the loss of thousands and thousands of Palestinian lives during his "courageous" life?

Rabin was remembered last Monday on campus with a candlelight vigil on Malcolm X Plaza. The event was typical of the Zionist organizations on campus who made it seem that Rabin was a "hero of peace" and the only person who could bring peace to the entire region.

The Zionist organizations seem to forget that it was Rabin who brought about the current state of war in the region as the mastermind behind the 1967 Six-Day War that aggressively took control of more Palestinian land and turned hundred of thousands of Palestinians into refugees. Rabin was also founding member of the Haganah Gang that terrorized Arab towns and villages in 1947-48. The Haganah Gang was personally responsible for the destruction of hundreds of Palestinian towns and villages and caused the current refugee problem.

All of these facts were sugar-coated by the recent Oslo Agreements and the hope for regional peace. Rabin did not sign the peace process for the good of the Palestinians, or even for the betterment of humanity. The reason he signed the "Peace Agreement" was to effectively control the Palestinian population through the Palestinian Authority he set up to do his dirty work.

Rabin, who the media has called a "Champion of Peace," has done great injustice for the indigenous population of that land. As defense minister during the Intifada, Rabin ordered Israeli troops to break the hands of Palestinian youths who were caught throwing stones at their oppressors, because it would deter more youths from further "disobedience." This was part of the "Iron Fist Policy" Rabin implemented on Palestinian youths during the Intifada. Even today, orders signed by Rabin after the "peace process" for the demolition of Palestinian homes are being carried out. This shows the commitment to peace on the part of Israel.

The Zionists have played yet another hoax on the Palestinian people: They have made us think it is peace they want, when what they really want is to legitimize their presence on Palestinian soil. The "Peace Process" was not a genuine peace, it was a peace signed by corrupt leaders without the support of the people. This is evidenced by the fact that Rabin was assassinated by one of his own people -- not an Arab or a Palestinian. The Israeli people don't want peace, they want more effective control of the occupied land.
