Dec. 5.
The Depot will be presenting a free showing of the David Lynch classic "Blue Velvet," which stars Kyle Maclachlan and Dennis Hopper, today at 5 p.m.

Dec. 5-7
"The Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair" will have more than 75 booths in the Cesar Chavez Student Center from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Dec. 6.
"Combo Marathon at Twilight" The music of SF State's jazz students performing in a variety of small ensembles. The show starts at 5 p.m. at Knuth Hall. Tickets are $3.50 for students and $5 for the general public.

The Depot will be presenting a free showing of that Keanu Reeves blockbuster "Speed" starting at 5 p.m.

Dec. 7th
"SF State Vocal Jazz Concert" SF State's vocal jazz ensemble performs contemporary and traditional jazz compositions at Knuth Hall at 7 p.m. Tickets are $3.50 for students and $5 for the general public.

Dec. 7-10.
The department of theatre arts presents the George Bernard Shaw play "Major Barbara" at the studio theatre. Thursday -Saturday shows start at 8 p.m. with the Sunday show starting at 2 p.m. Tickets are $6 for students and $8 for the general public.

Dec. 8-9.
"New Moves: Advanced Student Choreographers in Concert" A weekend of contemporary and jazz dance performed and choreographed by students in the dance department. The event will be held Saturday and Sunday in the Little Theatre at 8 p.m. Tickets are $4.50 for students and $6 for the general public.

Dec. 10
"The Mendelssohn Quartet" will be performing a free concert at 3 p.m. in McKenna Theatre.

Dec. 15.
"The University Chorus and Symphony Orchestra" under the direction of J. Scott Goble will be performing at 8 p.m. in Knuth Hall. Admission is $3.50 for students and $5 for the general public.

Calendar man's final CD Pick of the week......Faith No More's "King for a Day... Fool for a Lifetime." Okay, I know it has been out for months now but damn it, it's a great record and when it came out seven months ago no one bought it. Give it a try.
