Although he earned his degree in journalism as a reporter, photographer and editor, he has spent most of his career on the business side, in advertising sales and management for small town weeklies to Chicago Tribune company dailies.
Coming out of retirement to be advertising director at SFSU, he continues to direct student sales staff entrusted with responsability to generate revenues needed to publish Journalism Deparment publications.
