Student Work
Newsworx
Journalism students taking the Introduction to Online Journalism and Advanced Multimedia courses at San Francisco State produced these multimedia pieces on the Newsworx site. Their work is both inspiring and revealing. In one particular semester, students produced an extraordinary story and retrospective of the 1968 student strike on the San Francisco State campus. Students interviewed many of the former student activists and other players in the conflict.

News Hub
Yumi Wilson, assistant professor of Journalism at San Francisco State, launched San Francisco News Hub in the summer of 2009 to serve as an outlet for aspiring journalism students to contribute their ideas and voices in one central place or "hub." Unique from many personal blogs, contributors to SF News Hub are edited for news judgment, clarity, accuracy and other factors considered strong "journalistic" standards. The site features a combination of traditional news stories and blogs. In addition, SF News Hub highlights the best of “Seeking the Truth,” a new documentary project that chronicles the vital role that journalists play as America's watchdogs.
