Creative/professional interests include multi-ethnic family life,
diversity issues in journalism, campaign finance. As a reporter
for the Associated Press reporter and the SF Chronicle, wrote
hundreds of stories about the courts, urban affairs, politics,
domestic violence, poverty, affirmative action. Special awards,
honors: Fulbright Research Scholar in Japan, 2001. Journalism
Fellow, U. Michigan, 2000-2001. Contra Cost Press Club first-
place award, "Feature Writing."
