Teaches journalism history, ethnic diversity & U.S. journalism, magazine writing, former adviser to Golden Gater, newswriting, editing; former copy editor, foreign desk and politics, banking and securities desk, Wall Street Journal; assistant metropolitan editor, Fort Worth Star-Telegram, former reporter, Minneapolis Star, Houston Post, Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Waco Tribune-Herald; graduate, University of Texas; docto ral equivalency, SFSU, 1990; former instructor Graduate School of Journalism, Columbia University; in 1992 was a research fellow at Harvard University's Shorenstein Center on Press, Politics and Public Policy; taught at University of Southern California's Journalism program, 1998-2000; teaching at the Danish School of Journalism for Spring 2003 semester.
