Student Advising

Journalism majors are required to meet with an advisor at least once a year. Every major should have filled out an Advising Folder (available in HUM 305, Journalism Department), which should include transcripts and Degree Audit Report, when they go see an advisor. Waivers or substitutions of coursework requirements can only be obtained through written permission of the department chair and/or faculty.

The exceptions are journalism courses taken at schools that have transfer credit agreements with the department. A list of courses and schools can be found at www.assist.org.
